
POTTERY CLASSES
Welcome to our pottery classes! We’re thrilled that you’re interested in exploring the art of clay. Our offerings include four- and eight-week courses designed to inspire creativity and develop your skills. Classes are small and they fill up quickly—reserve your spot early. Need to change plans? You can cancel up to 10 days in advance for a full refund. Please note, our classes are exclusively for adult learners. We can't wait to create with you!

Intro to Wheel $200
This class will instruct anyone new to clay on the basics of wheel throwing. The first two classes you will learn centering, pulling and shaping clay on the wheel. The third class you will trim and the final class you will glaze. All materials are included. You will be able to make up to 4 pieces. Maximum 7 people.

This class will instruct anyone new to clay on how to make functional objects without the wheel. This four week class will have three projects where you learn hand forming techniques and surface decorations. All materials included. Evening classes from 6:30 - 8:30

Level One - Supervised Studio Access $250
Supervised Studio Access is for those who want to work on their own clay projects with full access to all studio equipment and glazes. You will have an instructor available during your time to answer your questions. Use the eight weeks to practice on the wheel or build your own projects. Best if you have taken a few classes and are self directed. This class is not for beginners. All glaze and firing provided. Reclaim clay available for $10 a bag.

Summer 2026: June 3 - July 29 (no class July 1)

Thursday Morning Pottery Studio $250
This class for is ideal for beginners and for people who have some experience who want to try a little bit of everything. You will have classes on both hand building and wheel throwing techniques with plenty of time to work on your projects. Your instructor will guide you through each session or you can choose to work independently. You can join this class at the beginning of the month and are eligible to continue month to month after the first eight weeks. All glaze and firing provided. Reclaim clay available for $10 a bag.

Large Wheel Forms $200
This class will focus on strategies to create large wheel thrown forms. Learn to throw taller pieces, combine two sections, and get helpful tips on clay and tool choices. You should have taken at least one beginning wheel class and be able to center 1 lb of clay. All materials included. Make two pieces. Maximum 7 people.

3B Large Wheel Forms March 5, 12, 19, 26

Throwing off the Hump $200
Throwing off the hump is a wonderful technique that maximizes efficiency in creating small items. Ideal for creating egg cups, small bowls and teapot components. During this class you will learn how to center one large mass of clay and successfully cut items off. You should have taken at least one beginning wheel class and be able to center 1 lb of clay. All materials are included. You will be able to make up to 8 small pieces.
